What better way to learn more about the PR director of Colette than to let him generate his own publicity? Below, Malkiel Berry speaks of Paris’ surprising livability, its tirelessly beautiful architecture and shares some of his favorite places ‘round town.
“Paris is a ‘comfortable’ city to live in. Things are not too spread out—it is never really complicated to go from one place to another. Architecture is so truly amazing here that I feel it is one of these cities where you are never tired of what you see. I am lucky enough to walk to work: every morning and night I go through Palais Royal—my favorite place here—a beautiful garden surrounded of impressive buildings, yet it remains so quiet.
I work in fashion and Paris is the historical capital of the industry. I love that you can find world fashion, food and culture. I think Paris is waking up. You have more and more impressive street style going on, even though we need more young designers from and based in Paris.”
